Silent Whisper

A Silent whisper

To flee my plight

A wish so sincere

For a future bright

Keep me strong

To battle my fight

Guide me as I prepare

To do what’s right.

Grant me the courage

To remain polite

As I do all I can

To reach a new height

I do it for Love

Never for spite

I can’t change the past

But the future I’ll write.

I’ve had enough

Everyday a new fright

I long for happiness

With open arms I invite

As I silently whisper

For a beautiful sight

I beg for this wish

As I pray to you tonight.

This wish I whisper

This pray I recite

Keeps circling my mind

As my eyes close tight

Hoping I’ll wake

After a peaceful night

To be received by a day

Of pure bliss and delight.

  3. I was in a trance while reading this. Somehow took me back to my school days when we used to recite powerful prayers from our diary. πŸ™‚

  9. Wow. Your poem really spoke to me. I especially love that it’s simple, clear and to the point. Sometimes, when I read poems with a ton of symbolism, I get lost in it. I’m going to print this out and refer to it when I need to. Lovely.
