Open the doors

Please talk to me

There’s something you’re trying to hide

I might be able to help

Open the doors and let me inside.

I’m not blind

I see your bloodshot eyes and escaped tears

Talking often helps

Open the doors and I’ll lend you my ears.

I have noticed

When you talk you seem to be in a muddle

Slow down, take a breath

Open the doors so I can give you a cuddle.

You’ve been absent

You stand in front of me yet you’re not here

Come back to me

Open the doors and allow me to come near.

I’m here for you

You don’t have to walk this dark path on your own

Let’s be strong together

Open the doors and know you are never alone.

Open the doors

There’s no need for you to hide your pain

I’ll listen but never judge you

Open the doors and never close them again.

To all reading this – Please keep your doors open. Let someone, anyone, inside. Don’t suffer in silence…

Absolutely stunning and breathtakingly true! Funny thing is, I am one that does bottle everything up inside not allowing doors of “freedom” to be open, which is a disgrace to myself. I am in aww of your incredible writing and can’t thank you enough for sharing this beautiful work of art!

I often keep a lot of things inside because most people tease and make fun of me..but how does someone who hates being laughed at, manage to open up ?
Your piece was great though… I felt you were speaking to me
