I wanted a guy

When I was in school
I wanted a guy
To come and become my prince,
He’d come to my recuse
And my fairytale would start
I’ve been searching for him ever since.

When I was in college
I wanted a guy
Everybody thought was cool,
He’d hold my hand
As we walked around
Making all the other girls drool.

When I started my career
I wanted a guy
Who was exciting and really funny,
We’d travel the world
Drive all the best cars
As he would have lot’s and lots of money.

As I became wiser
I started to realise
Fairytales don’t come true,
But then one day
I was taken by surprise
As into my life walked you!

You were a little bit cool
A little bit rich
Even a little bit wild,
But I knew right then
I would marry you one day
And become the mother of your child!
