Exam stress

Welcome to my blended story. I started it off, followed by my 15 year old son who wrote paragraph 2 then I concluded the story…

I am sitting in the school hall. My table is near to the back, second row in. I’m trying to keep calm but can already feel anxiety taking control of me. I peer out of the window in an effort to distract myself. The skies are a beautiful clear blue enticing me to come out but I can’t at the moment, at this precise moment I am about to sit my English exam…

“You may begin” calls out the exam invigilator. I pick up my pen with my trembling hand and put it to the exam paper. I read the question…it doesn’t make sense! I read it again, slower this time… I still can’t understand the words. Panic erupts! My palms become sweaty, I can’t breathe and my eyes are going fuzzy! I close my eyes and count to 10 trying to control my breathing at the same time. When I reopen my eyes I am shocked as I see something very strange…

I see tiny gremlin like creatures running down my arms! I squeal & jump back on my chair. The invigilator glances in my direction, he’s not impressed! Frightened that I’ll be asked to leave, I try to regain focus and begin my exam. Again I see these little gremlins! I watch as they run down my arms, onto my hand, take control of my fingers and grip my pen. Then I watch dumbfounded as they form word after word on my paper until there is no more space to write! I read the words left on the pages in amazement… And my mum always told me the gremlins in my head would get me into trouble, not out of it!

Also, A Parent mustn’t pressurise their kids for only studying, but be a casual friend and encourage the kid to get indulge in extra-curicular activity as well.

Parenting must be done in such an enthusiastic way that kids must get charged up and be ready for every kind of exam they appear for.

    That’s my opinion ! πŸ™‚

  2. Love this. For some reason I just keep seeing our old school chemistry teacher (Mr Sulley) reaching into the fume cupboard to retrieve his sandwiches for lunch. No idea why….

For some weird reason I think I might see umpa lumpas from the characters of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. And when they would start dancing… that’s probably the moment where I’d wake up. I enjoyed the story very much 😊
