My Palace

I would like to thank bereavedsingledad for nominating me to take part in this photo challenge. It’s taken me a while but as the saying goes – better late than never!

The rules are

  • 150 word limit
  • Write a piece of historical fiction or poetry about the photo
  • Try not to use the words tree & green
  • Tag 3 people to do the same with the photo

Come lay with me

Let me shield you from all

Troubles and worries

None exist behind my wall.

Come be with me

Nestled in my shade

Protection will be granted

Peace will serenade.

Come grow with me

Entwined root by root

Growing in existence

A heavenly pursuit.

Shielding, Nestling, Entwining

Soul by soul

Merging in my palace

Existing as one whole…

I hope you enjoyed my take of the above photo now I would like to see what your mind thinks of it.

If you’re feeling brave, please continue this challenge with either a poem or historical fictional piece. Otherwise leave me a comment below with your thoughts about the picture, tell me what it symbolises for you.

Looking forward to reading your thoughts…

Suki… X!

  2. Well, Suki, I suppose you think you can impress me by composing a beautiful poem fully capable of being moving on more than one level — e.g. as a poem about lovers, as a poem about mothers, as a poem about smart-ass blog commentators, etc. Hah! Fat chance of it! I absolutely refuse to acknowledge that I enjoyed your excellent and charming poem. So there!

      4. I see how it is, Suki. No respect for the inviolate opinions of your elders, just laughter. But that’s pretty much been a life long habit, hasn’t it? Or did that salesman out of Birmingham have it all wrong that growing up, you gave your teachers only the wormiest apples you could find?

      2. That’s the way to do it! At least with some poems. I tend to rush most of mine, then regret not having taken enough time with them.

Soulful poem dear Suki 😊 This picture reminds me of growing towards sky from whatever situation you are in. The trees uses all the available resources available just near it by spreading it’s roots and standing firmly on ground. It grows up providing shade and place to live for lots of creatures and a beautiful cool sight to eyes 😊❀️
